Located in the Inner Sunset of San Francisco, this house had a tiny backyard for this family with 2 kids. It was slightly on an a slope and a pile of dirt with decaying fences and an unsightly neighbors garage along the back. A fence and trellis now cover the wall, and built in planters are perfect for creating a backdrop of plants. Slate stone creates dimension and softness to the space. Two different built ins offer different uses - one for lounging and the other for eating/working/playing games. Lighting allows the space to be used into the evening and enjoyed from inside the house.
